Coaching that respects your intelligence and your time
is this the right place for you?
Here are a few signs you’ll love training at Devilfish. The best way to know for sure is to book an intro and meet a coach!
You’ll likely be a great fit if:
You want a lot of coaching and a program built around your needs.
You care about mobility, strength, and feeling good in your body.
You have specific fitness goals and want a plan to reach them.
You enjoy training alongside other people (without the chaos of a big class).
You like learning and want to build skill and independence.
You have some movement limitations or old injuries you want to improve.
You may not be a great fit if:
You like loud music or playlist-driven workouts.
You judge a workout by how sore you are the next day.
You want multiple extremely intense sessions every week.
what we do
We’ve learned something simple: people who already love training have endless options. But if you’re new to strength and fitness in midlife, or navigating chronic pain, old injuries, or a changing body, good options are surprisingly rare.
Collaborative coaching means we give you the time and support to build confidence and capacity first. Then, when you’re ready, we help you push your limits safely and intelligently.
We don’t expect you to “go hard” every session. In fact, we actively encourage a more long-term perspective.
Not everyone falls in love with training. But we’re very confident that smart, patient training will make you stronger, more capable, and more at home in your body.
-
We focus on building practical strength skills that improve mobility and longterm movement quality. You receive guidance and accountability while developing the confidence to train independently in a structured, collaborative setting.
-
No loud music or neon lights. We want you tuned in, not out!
-
Each session has 4-5 people. Every person has their own program, built just for them.

What People Are Saying
For decades I’ve struggled finding a workout and a gym I would stick to and enjoy. I truly enjoy working out at and going to Devilfish. Naomi and Andrea are knowledgeable and fun to work with. At 40 years old, I am the strongest I have ever been. In addition, the other people who joined Devilfish- we are of all ages. At all different ability levels. Everyone has been kind and welcoming.
— L.S (current client) Devilfish feels like much more than a gym. The whole team cares about my personal journey and I've never felt pushed beyond my capabilities. Rather I've been pushed to examine what I can do and take it only as far as I feel comfortable. I often surprise myself with how far I've come! They listen to each individual and craft training programs around each person's needs. In my case I'm a runner so in addition to general conditioning we've worked on flexibility, toning of specific muscles, and also core work outside of what I'm conditioning with running.
— N.S (current client)I came to Devilfish Athletics after years of struggling to stay consistent with fitness. As a good (but not great) high school athlete who didn’t continue into college, I spent most of my 20s and early 30s trying (and failing) to get back into my “peak shape” on my own--usually ending up in a cycle of injury, lost motivation, long stretches of inactivity, and then poor performance as I tried to rush back. Training here has completely changed that. The coaches (Andrea and Naomi, you two are amazing) have helped me build strength in a steady, sustainable way. When I’ve had small injuries, they’ve coached me through recovery without losing momentum. I’ve now been coming twice a week for a year, which is easily the most consistent I’ve been in my adult life.
